Fight for LGBT rights, advocate, and empower the LGBT people
The moral, legal, and political issues about gender equality and justice for LGBT people are still utopian ideals. If there's real acceptance, respect, and equality. Why are they still facing widespread discrimination and violence in different public life such as clubs, schools, and malls, or in the workplace?
As an advocate for LGBT people, I’ve noticed some salient things about non-stop discrimination and tremendous violence against LGBT people that are still prevailing in our society. The widespread discrimination and violence continue to shape LGBT people’s lives in both subtle and harmful ways. Just like the case of Gretchen Custodio Diez.
I've watched the entire video of Gretchen Custodio Diez, wherein she was inaequalitatem concede but, ponderosa, erubescent ludibrio, and got treated with cruelty or violence by Farmer’s Plaza staff in Cubao and was accompanied to Camp Karingal for taking Facebook Live inside the restroom for female. I just want this to be an eye-opener to everyone who is still belittling LGBT people because of the article of faith they believe that's not acceptable. Gretchen didn't request any special rights, she just wholeheartedly expressed her inner feelings about what the bullshit janitress did to her!
Honestly speaking, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people shouldn't be able to be dismissed for their métier, evicted from their homes, or deprived of the right to care for their loved ones just because of their sexual orientation and gender identity. LGBT people also deserve to have equal legal rights simply because they're still humans, and that means "equal" not more, not less; even convicted juvenile delinquents, apothecaries, drug addicts, habitual sinners, fornicators, a man-slayers have their ethical principles of freedom or entitlement because as abhorrent as they or their actions may be, they are still humans. I do believe that everyone is also entitled to those rights regardless of age, color, gender, race, sexual preference, physical ability, or any other personal attributes or characteristics.
Some people are focusing too much on the dark side of gender equality for the LGBT community, and not seeing them as who they are, "humans", who deserve rights and equal protection by the law as well. The LGBT people have the right to be treated equally by the law, and to have the same protection under the law as anyone else.
Every LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) is packed with the theory of multiple intelligences and shows the central role or integral part of our society. They have contributed to the nation as well-bred professionals, tycoons, doyens or virtuosos, makeup artists, television personalities, and, in fact, from all walks of life.
We need to fight and advocate for the rest of the LGBTQ+ members as we push for the SOGIE Equality Bill to be approved and passed by our higher officials if not now, hopefully in the future.
